गोवा में 1 से 3 फरवरी 2026 तक आयोजित क्यूएस कॉरपोरेट वार्षिक अंतरराष्ट्रीय उच्च शिक्षा शिखर सम्मेलन 2026 ने उच्च शिक्षा के भविष्य को लेकर विचारशील संवाद, वैश्विक दृष्टिकोण और साझा प्रतिबद्धता के साथ एक सशक्त मंच प्रदान किया। यह तीन दिवसीय शिखर सम्मेलन शिक्षा जगत के प्रेरणादायक नीति-निर्माताओं, शिक्षाविदों और वैश्विक हितधारकों को एक साथ लेकर आया। सभी एक साझा प्रश्न से जुड़े थे, तेजी से बदलती दुनिया की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने के लिए उच्च शिक्षा किस प्रकार विकसित हो सकती है ? गोवा की जीवंत पृष्ठभूमि में हुई चर्चाओं ने वैश्विक अंतर्दृष्टियों को अंतरराष्ट्रीय शिक्षा मंच पर भारत की बढ़ती आकांक्षाओं के साथ सहज रूप से जोड़ा।

पहले दिन के प्रमुख आकर्षणों में श्री श्री यूनिवर्सिटी की माननीय कुलाध्यक्षा प्रो. रजिता कुलकर्णी का संबोधन शामिल रहा, जिसे अत्यंत सजग श्रोताओं ने सुना। उनके वक्तव्य में आत्मविश्वास, स्पष्टता और दूरदृष्टि का प्रभावशाली संगम देखने को मिला। उन्होंने वैश्विक ज्ञान पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र में भारत की विकसित होती भूमिका को रेखांकित करते हुए इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि भारत अब केवल वैश्विक शिक्षा संवादों का सहभागी नहीं है, बल्कि उन्हें दिशा देने वाला एक उभरता हुआ नेतृत्वकर्ता बन रहा है।

शिखर सम्मेलन के पहले दिन की शुरुआत एक प्रभावशाली राउंड टेबल चर्चा से हुई, जिसमें प्रो. कुलकर्णी ने सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। सर्विसेज़ एक्सपोर्ट प्रमोशन काउंसिल (SEPC), भारत द्वारा आयोजित इस चर्चा का विषय था- “भारतीय उच्च शिक्षा का अंतरराष्ट्रीयकरण: अकादमिक गतिशीलता और सीमा-पार सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना।” इस सत्र ने नीति ढाँचों, संस्थागत तैयारी और वैश्विक मंच पर अधिक गहन सहभागिता की आवश्यकता पर स्पष्ट, व्यावहारिक और दूरदर्शी संवाद को जन्म दिया।

चर्चाओं के दौरान एक विचार विशेष रूप से उभरकर सामने आया कि भारत की वैश्विक शिक्षा क्षमता अब भी काफी हद तक अप्रयुक्त है। भारत विश्व को एक ऐसा विशिष्ट शिक्षा पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र प्रदान करता है, जिसमें प्राचीन ज्ञान और आधुनिक नवाचार का दुर्लभ संतुलन दिखाई देता है। आयुर्वेद, योग, भारतीय ज्ञान परंपराओं और वैदिक दर्शन से लेकर फिनटेक, फार्मास्यूटिकल्स, आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस और सशक्त स्टार्ट-अप इकोसिस्टम तक, भारत एक समग्र और अद्वितीय शिक्षण दृष्टिकोण प्रस्तुत करता है। यह वह भूमि है जहाँ परंपरा और नवाचार साथ-साथ चलते हैं और जहाँ शिक्षा केवल कुशल पेशेवरों का निर्माण नहीं करती, बल्कि संतुलित और जिम्मेदार वैश्विक नागरिकों को भी आकार देती है।

हालाँकि, इस अपार क्षमता को पूरी तरह साकार करने के लिए स्पष्ट उद्देश्य और ठोस कार्रवाई की आवश्यकता पर भी ज़ोर दिया गया। चर्चाओं में यह बात बार-बार सामने आई कि भारतीय उच्च शिक्षा को वैश्विक स्तर पर और अधिक सशक्त ब्रांडिंग की आवश्यकता है, भारत के मूल्य प्रस्ताव को प्रभावी और प्रामाणिक कहानियों के माध्यम से विश्व के समक्ष प्रस्तुत करना होगा, तथा अंतरराष्ट्रीय साझेदारियों और अकादमिक गतिशीलता के लिए मज़बूत और सक्रिय ढाँचों का निर्माण करना अनिवार्य है। जब भारत स्वयं को एक वैश्विक शिक्षा गंतव्य के रूप में स्थापित करने की दिशा में निरंतर आगे बढ़ रहा है, तब 1 से 3 फरवरी 2026 तक आयोजित क्यूएस वर्ल्ड समिट जैसे मंचों की भूमिका अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हो जाती है। ये मंच केवल संवाद की मेज़बानी तक सीमित नहीं रहते, बल्कि सहयोग को उत्प्रेरित करते हैं, स्थापित धारणाओं को चुनौती देते हैं और सीमा-पार, भविष्य-उन्मुख साझेदारियों की मज़बूत नींव रखते हैं।

शिखर सम्मेलन का पहला दिन आशा, उद्देश्य और सकारात्मक ऊर्जा की भावना के साथ संपन्न हुआ। संदेश स्पष्ट और सशक्त था, उच्च शिक्षा का भविष्य सहयोगात्मक, वैश्विक रूप से जुड़ा हुआ और साझा मूल्यों में निहित है, और इस भविष्य को आकार देने में भारत की भूमिका न केवल महत्वपूर्ण है, बल्कि अनिवार्य भी है।

क्यूएस समिट के दूसरे दिन आयोजित “यूनिवर्सिटीज़ ऐज़ इंजन्स ऑफ़ इनोवेशन” विषयक पैनल चर्चा में प्रो. रजिता कुलकर्णी ने सक्रिय रूप से सहभागिता की। उनके विचारों ने उपस्थित सभी बुद्धिजीवियों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। इस चर्चा में इस बात का गहन विश्लेषण किया गया कि भारतीय विश्वविद्यालय किस प्रकार नवाचार, उद्यमिता और आर्थिक विकास के सशक्त उत्प्रेरक के रूप में विकसित हो सकते हैं—विशेष रूप से ऐसे समय में, जब भारत 1.5 लाख से अधिक मान्यता प्राप्त स्टार्टअप्स के साथ दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम बनकर उभर रहा है। पैनल चर्चा में इस बात पर विशेष ज़ोर दिया गया कि उच्च शिक्षा संस्थान उद्यमशील सोच को प्रोत्साहित करने, निवेश आकर्षित करने और उद्योग के साथ सहयोग को और अधिक सुदृढ़ करने में निर्णायक भूमिका निभाते हैं। क्यूएस कॉरपोरेट द्वारा संचालित यह संवाद वैश्विक दृष्टिकोणों का एक प्रभावशाली आदान-प्रदान था, जिसमें भविष्य के लिए तैयार विश्वविद्यालयों को आकार देने और ऐसे नवाचार-आधारित पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के निर्माण पर सार्थक चर्चा की गई, जो शिक्षा को राष्ट्रीय और वैश्विक आकांक्षाओं के साथ सुसंगत बनाते हैं। यह कहना अतिशयोक्ति नहीं होगा कि इसमें प्रोफेसर कुलकर्णी ने श्री श्री विश्वविद्यालय की भूमिका को अत्यंत सुंदर और प्रभावशाली ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया।

क्युएस इंडिया समिट 2026 के अवसर पर श्री श्री विश्वविद्यालय ने अपने अंतरराष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक जुड़ाव को और अधिक सशक्त करते हुए पूर्व में हस्ताक्षरित समझौता ज्ञापनों (MoUs) की समीक्षा की तथा भावी शैक्षणिक सहयोग, अकादमिक आदान–प्रदान एवं संयुक्त पहलों को आगे बढ़ाने हेतु व्यापक विचार–विमर्श किया। विश्वविद्यालय के माननीय कुलाध्यक्षा महोदया ने यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ हेल्थ साइंसेज़ की ओर से प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे डॉ. लेस्ली हेग के साथ महत्वपूर्ण चर्चा की। उल्लेखनीय है कि इस विश्वविद्यालय की चांसलर प्रिंसेस ऐनी हैं। ऑस्टियोपैथी के क्षेत्र में सहयोग हेतु पूर्व में संपन्न MoU के अंतर्गत गत वर्ष की गतिविधियों की समीक्षा की गई तथा भावी शैक्षणिक सहयोग की संभावनाओं पर विचार किया गया।

इसके अतिरिक्त, आइएनटिआइ विश्वविद्यालय की टीम के साथ भी सार्थक चर्चा संपन्न हुई। पहले से सक्रिय साझेदारी के अंतर्गत चल रही संयुक्त गतिविधियों को और अधिक सुदृढ़ एवं विस्तारित करने पर विशेष बल दिया गया। माननीय कुलाध्यक्षा महोदया ने यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ कैंटरबरी की कुलपति डॉ. चेरिल के साथ भी संवाद किया। दोनों विश्वविद्यालयों के मध्य विद्यमान MoU के तहत प्रस्तावित शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों तथा भविष्य के सहयोग के अवसरों पर चर्चा की गई।

QS World Summit 2026: A Dialogic Initiative Shaping the Future of Higher Education

The QS Corporate Annual International Higher Education Summit 2026, held in Goa from 1 to 3 February 2026, provided a powerful platform for thoughtful dialogue, global perspectives and shared commitment towards shaping the future of higher education. This three-day summit brought together inspiring policymakers, academicians and global stakeholders from across the education ecosystem, all united by a common question: How can higher education evolve to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world ? Set against Goa’s vibrant backdrop, the discussions seamlessly connected global insights with the  growing aspirations of India on the international education stage.

One of the key highlights of the opening day was the address by Professor Rajita Kulkarni, Hon’ble President of Sri Sri University, delivered before a highly attentive audience. Her address reflected a compelling blend of confidence, clarity and vision. Emphasising the  evolving role of India in the global knowledge ecosystem, she asserted that our country is no longer merely a participant in global education dialogues but is increasingly emerging as a leader shaping their direction.

The first day of the summit commenced with an impactful roundtable discussion, in which Professor Kulkarni played an active role. Organised by the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), Government of India, the session focused on “Internationalisation of Indian Higher Education: Promoting Academic Mobility and Cross-Border Collaboration.” The discussion sparked practical, forward-looking conversations on policy frameworks, institutional preparedness and the need for deeper global engagement.

A central theme that emerged strongly from these deliberations was the recognition that the global education potential of India remains largely untapped. India offers the world a distinctive education ecosystem where ancient wisdom and modern innovation co-exist in rare harmony. From Ayurveda, Yoga, Indian Knowledge Systems & Vedic philosophy to FinTech, Pharmaceuticals, Artificial Intelligence and a thriving start-up ecosystem, India presents an overall unique learning paradigm. It is a land where tradition and innovation walk hand in hand, where education aims not only to create skilled professionals but also to nurture balanced & responsible global citizens.

At the same time, the discussions underscored the urgent need for clear intent and decisive action to fully realise this potential. Repeated emphasis was placed on strengthening the global branding of Indian higher education, presenting India’s value proposition through authentic and compelling narratives, and building robust, proactive frameworks for international partnerships and academic mobility. As India steadily advances towards positioning itself as a global education destination, platforms like the QS World Summit play a pivotal role. These forums go beyond hosting conversations; they catalyse collaboration, challenge established assumptions and lay strong foundations for cross-border, future-oriented partnerships.

The first day concluded with a strong sense of optimism, purpose and positive energy. Message was both clear and powerful: the future of higher education is collaborative, globally connected and rooted in shared values – In this context the role of India in shaping future is not only significant, but indispensable.

On the second day of the summit, Professor Rajita Kulkarni actively participated in the panel discussion titled “Universities as Engines of Innovation.” Her insights deeply resonated with the intellectual audience present. The discussion offered an in-depth exploration of how Indian universities can evolve into powerful catalysts for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth - especially at a time when India has emerged as the third-largest start-up ecosystem of the world, with over 150,000 recognised start-ups. The panel highlighted the crucial role of higher education institutions in fostering entrepreneurial mindsets, attracting investment and strengthening industry collaboration. Moderated by QS Corporate, this exchange of global perspectives focused on shaping future-ready universities and building innovation-driven ecosystems that align education with national and global aspirations. Professor Kulkarni articulated the role of Sri Sri University with exceptional clarity and impact during this dialogue.

On the occasion of the QS India Summit 2026, Sri Sri University further strengthened its international academic engagements by reviewing previously signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and engaging in detailed discussions on future academic collaborations, exchanges and joint initiatives. The Hon’ble President Prof. Rajita Kulkarni held meaningful discussions with Dr. Leslie Haig, representing the University of Health Sciences, whose Chancellor is Princess Anne. Under the existing MoU for collaboration in the field of Osteopathy, activities undertaken in the previous year were reviewed and new avenues for future academic cooperation were explored.

In addition, productive discussions were held with the team from INTI International University, with a special focus on strengthening and expanding ongoing collaborative activities under the existing partnership. The Hon’ble President also interacted with Dr. Cheryl, Vice Chancellor of the University of Canterbury, to review proposed academic activities and explore future opportunities for collaboration under the MoU between the two institutions.

Collectively, these engagements reflect the steadfast commitment of Sri Sri University to building long-term, meaningful and impactful global academic partnerships, reinforcing its vision of contributing proactively to the evolving landscape of international higher education.
