Ganesh Utsav 2025: Ten Days of Devotion, Culture and Celebration at Sri Sri University

Festivals are the heartbeat of India’s cultural fabric, and in the serene yet vibrant campus of Sri Sri University, the grand Ganesh Utsav 2025 became a glowing example of how faith, joy, and creativity can come together to unite an entire community.

From August 27 to September 5, 2025, the university premises turned into a spiritual and cultural carnival. The Shruti Courtyard, the heart of the campus was beautifully decorated with flowers, colorful rangolis, strings of lights and the divine presence of Lord Ganesh.

For ten days, the courtyard echoed with Veda chants and “Ganapati Bappa Morya,” the rhythm of music, and the energy of hundreds of students and faculty celebrating as one family.

This wasn’t just a festival - it was an experience of togetherness, where every day brought something new, weaving spirituality with tradition, fun, and modern youth culture.

Day 1: Odia Day, Odissi Dance & Groove Night

The festival began with a strong cultural identity i.e. Odia Day. Students dressed in traditional Odia attire filled the courtyard, celebrating the regional pride of Odisha.

The highlight was the Odissi dance performance, where the graceful dancers told stories of devotion through their mesmerizing movements. The audience watched in awe as every gesture and every step reflected centuries of tradition.

But as the evening deepened, the classical rhythm gave way to youthful energy. The stage lights turned colorful, the speakers thumped with beats, and the Groove Night began. Students flooded the courtyard to dance, sing, and sway to funky, upbeat music.

It was one of the most high-energy nights of the fest, a moment when the whole university pulsed as one, moving to the rhythm of joy.

Day 2: Garwa Night with Virya Team

The second day was all about Gujarat’s gift to the world, Garwa. The Virya Dance Team took the lead, and soon the entire courtyard became a circle of claps, steps and swirls. Dressed in traditional chaniya cholis and kediyus, students and faculty danced with infectious enthusiasm. The live music, dhol beats and colorful costumes made the evening unforgettable.

What made it special was not just the performance but the participation. Everyone, irrespective of culture or background, joined in. This was the true spirit of Ganesh Utsav: unity in diversity.

Day 3: Ramp Walk, Face Painting & Ganesh Quiz

The third day celebrated style, creativity, and intellect. The much-awaited Ramp Walk turned the courtyard into a runway. The lights dimmed, the music rose and participants walked the stage with elegance and confidence. Every step radiated charisma, every outfit told a unique story. It wasn’t just fashion- it was the spirit of youth expressing itself boldly.

Adding to the vibrance, the Face Painting Competition allowed students to turn art into personality. With brushes and colors, they painted faces inspired by mythological figures, famous icons and imaginative designs.

The day also featured the Ganesh Quiz Show, where students tested their knowledge about Bappa, Indian traditions, and spiritual culture. It was both fun and enlightening, connecting celebration with learning.

Day 4: Fun Games & God Waves

By the fourth day, the mood was light hearted and playful. The courtyard hosted fun games that brought laughter and camaraderie among students. The God Waves activity provided a devotional twist, as participants combined entertainment with prayers, reminding everyone that joy and spirituality go hand in hand.

Day 5: South Indian Day & Short Film on Bappa

The fifth day highlighted the richness of South Indian culture. Students from the southern states performed traditional dances, sang folk songs and showcased the beauty of their heritage. The South Indian Day Talent Hunt gave them a platform to shine and share their traditions with pride.

The evening became more reflective when the university community gathered to watch an Open Short Film on Lord Ganesh. The screening in the Shruti Courtyard created a serene atmosphere, reminding everyone of the deeper significance of the festival.

Day 6: Punjabi Day, Rangoli & Nukkad Natak

If Day 5 was about grace and tradition, Day 6 was about zest and energy. The Punjabi community of the university celebrated with lively bhangra, dhol beats and colorful attire. The campus vibrated with Punjabi energy, spreading infectious joy.

Earlier in the day, the Rangoli Competition allowed students to express their devotion through art. The courtyard was adorned with intricate rangolis depicting Lord Ganesh, each design more creative and vibrant than the last.

As the evening fell, students gathered for a Nukkad Natak. The Natak Mandali (theatre group) delivered powerful performances in the traditional street-play style, blending emotion, humour, satire, and social messages with devotion.

Day 7: Bollywood Night & Photography Competition

The seventh day brought cinema and creativity together. Photography enthusiasts showcased their talent in a Photography Competition, capturing candid moments of devotion, dance and laughter from the Utsav.

As the night progressed, the stage turned into a Bollywood extravaganza. The Bollywood Night had students performing dance routines, singing popular songs and celebrating India’s film culture.

Day 8: Treasure Hunt, Sri Sri Academy Performance & Retro Night

Day eight was action-packed. The Treasure Hunt had students racing across campus, solving clues and laughing at the friendly competition. It showcased teamwork, intelligence and the joy of play.

In the evening, the youngest stars: students of Sri Sri Academy, charmed the audience with their performances. Their innocence and enthusiasm won every heart. The day concluded with a Retro Night, where students embraced the golden era. Dressed in vintage styles, they danced to retro tunes, creating a magical, nostalgic atmosphere.

Day 9: Maha Aarti, Ethnic Day & Maha Bhog

The penultimate day was soaked in spirituality. The Maha Aarti was performed in Bappa’s beautifully decorated pandal. The courtyard glowed with diyas and resonated with chants, filling every heart with devotion. It was also Ethnic Day, where students wore traditional outfits representing the diverse cultures of India. The campus looked like a living portrait of unity in diversity. The day ended with Maha Bhog, a grand feast prepared with devotion and shared among all, reinforcing the sense of community.

Day 10: Visarjan Pooja

The final day was bittersweet. With folded hands and tearful eyes, the university community gathered for the Visarjan Pooja. The air was filled with chants of “Ganapati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya” (Come again soon next year, O Lord Ganesha).

Though the idol was immersed, the memories of the 10-day celebration remained etched in every heart: memories of laughter, dance, devotion and unity. The Ganesh Utsav at Sri Sri University was not just a festival; it was a journey of the soul. It celebrated India’s diversity  from Odissi to Garwa, from Bhangra to Bollywood, from Retro beats to traditional rituals. It reminded everyone that while cultures may differ, faith binds us together. It gave students a chance to showcase talents, to learn about each other’s traditions and most importantly, to celebrate Bappa with devotion. As the lights dimmed and the courtyard returned to its usual calm, one thing was clear: the spirit of Ganesh Utsav 2025 will continue to inspire the Sri Sri University family until they welcome Bappa again next year.

श्री श्री विश्वविद्यालय में गणेश उत्सव 2025

10 दिनों की भक्ति, संस्कृति और उत्सव की अनोखी झलक

भारत की सांस्कृतिक धड़कनों को त्योहार जीवित रखते हैं। इसी कड़ी में श्री श्री विश्वविद्यालय का भव्य गणेश उत्सव 2025 यह दिखाने का शानदार उदाहरण रहा कि कैसे भक्ति, आनंद और रचनात्मकता पूरे समुदाय को एक सूत्र में बांध सकते हैं।

27 अगस्त से 5 सितम्बर 2025 तक विश्वविद्यालय का परिसर आध्यात्मिकता और संस्कृति का जीवंत उत्सव स्थल बना रहा। श्रुति प्रांगण फूलों, रंग-बिरंगी रंगोलियों, रोशनियों और भगवान गणेश की दिव्य उपस्थिति से सजा हुआ था। दस दिनों तक यहाँ “गणपति बप्पा मोरया” के जयघोष गूंजते रहे, संगीत और नृत्य की धुनें बजती रहीं, और सैकड़ों छात्र-शिक्षक एक परिवार की तरह मिलकर बप्पा का स्वागत करते रहे।

यह केवल एक त्योहार नहीं था- यह एक अनुभव था, जहाँ हर दिन कुछ नया लेकर आया और आध्यात्मिकता को परंपरा, मनोरंजन और युवा संस्कृति के साथ खूबसूरती से जोड़ा गया।

पहला दिन: ओड़िआ दिवस, ओड़िशी नृत्य और ग्रूव नाइट

उत्सव का शुभारंभ ओड़िआ दिवस से हुआ। छात्र पारंपरिक ओड़िया परिधानों में सजे और प्रदेश की सांस्कृतिक पहचान का जश्न मनाया। इसके बाद प्रसिद्ध ओड़िशी नृत्य ने दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। हर भाव और हर कदम में भक्ति और सौंदर्य झलक रहा था।

रात्रि ढलते ही माहौल बदल गया। संगीत की धुनें तेज हुईं और मंच पर शुरू हुई ग्रूव नाइट। पूरा प्रांगण डांस फ्लोर में बदल गया और छात्र-छात्राएँ थिरकते हुए गाते-नाचते नज़र आए। यह उत्सव की सबसे ऊर्जावान रातों में से एक रही।

दूसरा दिन: विर्या टीम का गरवा नाइट

दूसरे दिन गुजरात का रंग बिखरा। विर्या टीम के नेतृत्व में गरवा नाइट आयोजित हुई। पारंपरिक परिधानों में सजे छात्र और शिक्षक तालियों और घूमते कदमों के साथ घेरे बनाकर नाचे। ढोल की थाप और गीतों की गूंज ने वातावरण को जीवंत कर दिया।

इस रात की खासियत यह रही कि हर कोई इसमें शामिल हुआ- यही तो गणेश उत्सव की आत्मा है, विविधता में एकता।

तीसरा दिन: रैम्प वॉक, फेस पेंटिंग और गणेश क्विज

तीसरा दिन स्टाइल और रचनात्मकता का उत्सव रहा। बहुप्रतीक्षित रैम्प वॉक में छात्रों ने आत्मविश्वास और आकर्षण के साथ मंच पर कदम रखा। रोशनी, संगीत और भावनाओं के बीच यह केवल फैशन शो नहीं था, बल्कि युवाओं के जोश और पहचान का उत्सव था।

साथ ही आयोजित हुई फेस पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता, जिसमें छात्रों ने अपने चेहरे को रंगों से सजाकर कल्पनाओं को साकार किया। शाम को हुआ गणेश क्विज शो, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने बप्पा और भारतीय संस्कृति पर आधारित प्रश्नों का उत्तर दिया। यह ज्ञान और मनोरंजन का संगम था।

चौथा दिन: मज़ेदार खेल और गॉड वेव्स

चौथे दिन प्रांगण हँसी और उत्साह से गूंज उठा। फन गेम्स ने छात्रों के बीच आपसी मित्रता को और गहरा किया। साथ ही गॉड वेव्स जैसी गतिविधियों ने भक्ति और आनंद का संतुलन बनाए रखा।

पाँचवाँ दिन: साउथ इंडियन डे और शॉर्ट फिल्म

पाँचवें दिन मंच पर दक्षिण भारत की संस्कृति जीवंत हुई। साउथ इंडियन डे टैलेंट हंट में छात्रों ने लोकनृत्य, गीत और पारंपरिक कला प्रस्तुत की।

शाम को श्रुति प्रांगण में गणेश जी पर आधारित शॉर्ट फिल्म दिखाई गई, जिसने सभी को भावविभोर कर दिया।

छठा दिन: पंजाबी दिवस, रंगोली और नुक्कड़ नाटक

छठा दिन पूरी तरह से पंजाबी रंग में रंगा रहा। ढोल-नगाड़ों की गूंज, भांगड़ा की धुन और रंगीन परिधानों ने वातावरण को ऊर्जा से भर दिया।

दिन में आयोजित रंगोली प्रतियोगिता में छात्रों ने भगवान गणेश की अनूठी कलात्मक छवियाँ उकेरीं। शाम को हुआ नुक्कड़ नाटक, जिसने सरल अंदाज़ में गहरी बातें कही और दर्शकों को सोचने पर मजबूर कर दिया।

सातवाँ दिन: फोटोग्राफी और बॉलीवुड नाइट

सातवें दिन फोटोग्राफी प्रेमियों ने अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाई। कैमरे में कैद किए गए गणेश उत्सव के रंगीन पल सभी को भा गए।

रात होते ही शुरू हुई बॉलीवुड नाइट। मंच पर गीत-संगीत, नृत्य और फ़िल्मी रंगों की धूम रही। पूरा परिसर जैसे फिल्म सिटी में बदल गया।

आठवाँ दिन: ट्रेज़र हंट, अकादमी प्रदर्शन और रेट्रो नाइट

आठवाँ दिन रोमांच से भरा रहा। छात्रों के बीच हुआ ट्रेज़र हंट हँसी और उत्साह से गूंज उठा। शाम को श्री श्री अकादमी के नन्हें विद्यार्थियों ने प्रस्तुतियाँ दीं, जिनकी मासूमियत ने सभी का दिल जीत लिया।

इसके बाद आयोजित हुई रेट्रो नाइट, जिसमें छात्र पुराने दौर के गीतों और फैशन में सजे-धजे नज़र आए।

नौवाँ दिन: महाआरती, एथनिक डे और महाभोग

नौवें दिन पूरा वातावरण आध्यात्मिकता से भर गया। महाआरती में सैकड़ों दीपों की रोशनी और भजनों की गूंज ने हर दिल को भक्ति से भर दिया।

यह दिन एथनिक डे भी था, जहाँ छात्र-छात्राएँ पारंपरिक वेशभूषा में नजर आए। दिन का समापन महाभोग से हुआ, जिसे सभी ने मिलकर प्रसाद के रूप में ग्रहण किया।

दसवाँ दिन: विसर्जन पूजा

अंतिम दिन भावुक कर देने वाला था। पूरे समुदाय ने मिलकर विसर्जन पूजा की और बप्पा को विदाई दी। “गणपति बप्पा मोरया, अगले बरस तू जल्दी आ” के जयघोष ने वातावरण गूंजा दिया।

यद्यपि प्रतिमा का विसर्जन हुआ, लेकिन इन दस दिनों की यादें हर दिल में अंकित हो गईं - भक्ति, नृत्य, संगीत और एकता की यादें। श्री श्री विश्वविद्यालय का गणेश उत्सव 2025 केवल त्योहार नहीं था, बल्कि यह आध्यात्मिक यात्रा थी। इसने यह दिखाया कि अलग-अलग संस्कृतियाँ मिलकर भी एक परिवार बन सकती हैं।
