The Calling of Sri Sri University: Education Reimagined

In the heart of Odisha lies an institution that is not just an university, it is a revolution in education, a glowing torchbearer lighting the way forward. Sri Sri University is more than buildings and books; it is a living, breathing movement that shapes destinies.

Students lucky enough to step into its verdant campus are not merely recipients of education,  they are explorers of self, seekers of clarity and architects of tomorrow. Far removed from the chaos of the modern world, from the haze of distractions and harmful influences, the campus radiates peace. Within this sanctuary, students find answers to the deepest questions that stir in their minds, often before they have even voiced them.

Like the elusive scent of wild jasmine spreading without noise or fanfare, the reputation of Sri Sri University has blossomed far and wide. From every corner of India, passionate and driven young minds are drawn to this silent force of excellence.

But this is not merely a tale of peaceful learning. It is also a saga of solid results.

Sri Sri University ensures that its students don’t just leave with degrees - they leave with directions, with dreams already unfolding. A robust and ever-vigilant Placement Cell works round the clock, bridging the classroom and the corporate world. Their tireless efforts have borne incredible fruit: in 2021-22, 76% of students received job placements. The next year 80.52%. And in 2023-24, that number soared to 82.09% and the 2024-25 cycle isn't even over yet ! All signs point to the university confidently marching towards a 90% placement rate.

One department that shines especially bright is Management Studies - now widely recognized as a crucible for success. Thanks in no small part to Professor Biplab Kumar Biswal, the former KIIT University stalwart who joined as Dean in 2024. Under his inspiring leadership, management education has transformed into an art of clarity, vision and personal transformation. His ability to resolve students’ doubts and unlock their potential has made him a beloved mentor and a game-changer.

Here, learning is not confined to theory. Professors become companions in curiosity. They guide each student with patience, returning again and again to a concept until understanding dawns. The course content itself is crafted with elegance - easy to grasp yet deeply empowering. With every step, the curriculum evolves, blending group discussions, industry training, case-based learning, and even lessons in hospitality and interpersonal finesse.

And there’s more. A rebranded ‘Student Placement Committee’ (erstwhile Corporate Relations Committee) has taken on the mission of preparing management students for real-world challenges. With six dynamic student members and dedicated faculty mentors, they coach, prepare and empower students to walk confidently into interviews with top national and multinational companies.

The results are already historic.

Meet Amita Samantsinghar, a Management student from the 2023–25 batch. In October 2024, well before she even completed her degree, she was appointed Deputy Manager (Grade-2) in a prestigious public-sector bank. When most students are still preparing for interviews, she held a signed job offer in hand - a testament to her talent, her preparation and the fertile ground that Sri Sri University provided.

With a gleam of gratitude in her eyes, Amita reflects, “At Sri Sri University, I didn’t just learn from books. I learned how to think, how to present, how to shape ideas into reality. We were constantly trained in personality development, group discussions, and idea generation. It wasn’t just education, it was transformation. That’s why when opportunity came, I was ready.”

She recalls how she too had doubts initially. The smaller class size in earlier batches had concerned her. Could this place deliver what she truly needed ? But soon, those doubts vanished, swept away by the sheer force of experience, support and structure.

And so, the story of Sri Sri University continues - written each day in quiet victories and bold transformations. For every Amita, there are countless more dreaming, striving and rising.

                            ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଆହ୍ୱାନ: ଶିକ୍ଷାର ନୂତନ ଦିଗନ୍ତ

ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ କେବଳ ଏକ ସାଧାରଣ ଶିକ୍ଷାୟତନ ନୁହେଁ, ଏହା ସମକାଳୀନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ ଏକ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ, ଏପରି ଏକ ମଶାଲ ଯାହା ଧାଡ଼ିର ସବା ଆଗରେ ଧ୍ୱଜାବାହକର ଭୂମିକା ତୁଲାଇଥାଏ । ଏଠାରେ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନର ସୁଯୋଗ ଭାଗ୍ୟବାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ହିଁ ମିଳିଥାଏ । ନିଶା ଓ ମାଦକଦ୍ରବ୍ୟଠାରୁ ବହୁ ଦୂରରେ ଏହା ଏପରି ଏକ ବିଦ୍ୟାର ପରିସର (କ୍ୟାମ୍ପସ), ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ବିଦ୍ଯାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ମନରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହେଉଥିବା ଅନେକ ଅସମାହିତ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନର ଉତ୍ତର ଆପଣା ଛାଏଁ ମିଳିଯାଏ । ସେଇଥିପାଇଁ ତ ବିନା ପ୍ରଚାର ଓ ପ୍ରସାରରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହାର ସୁବାସ ଠିକ୍ ବଣମଲ୍ଲୀଟିଏ ପରି ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଖେଳିଯାଇଛି । ଆଜି ସାରାଦେଶର କୋଣ ଅନୁକୋଣରୁ ଇଚ୍ଛୁକ ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନେ ଏଠାରେ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ କରିବାକୁ ଖୁବ୍ ଉତ୍ସାହଭରେ ଆଗମନ କରିବାରେ ଲାଗିଛନ୍ତି ।

ଖାଲି ଉତ୍ତମ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ପରିବେଶ ନୁହେଁ, ଏଠାରେ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ କରୁଥିବା ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ ଉପରାନ୍ତେ ତୁରନ୍ତ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ସୁଯୋଗ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ କରାଇବାର ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାର ବନ୍ଦୋବସ୍ତ ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପକ୍ଷରୁ କରାଯାଉଛି । ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଏକ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ସେଲ୍ ନିରନ୍ତର ଭାବରେ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଭାବୀ ଶୈଳୀରେ ତାହାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି । ପରିଣାମସ୍ୱରୁପ, ଏଠାରୁ ସଫଳତାର ସହ ଉତ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଉଥିବା ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉତ୍ତମ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ସୁଯୋଗ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇପାରୁଛି । ଚଳିତ ଶିକ୍ଷାବର୍ଷ ଶେଷରେ ଏହି ସଫଳତାର ଗ୍ରାଫ୍ ବହୁ ଉଚ୍ଚକୁ ଯାଇଥିବା ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ଅଧିକାରୀ (ପ୍ଲେସମେଣ୍ଟ ଅଫିସର) ରବିରଞ୍ଜନ କୁମାର ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛନ୍ତି । 2021-22 ଶିକ୍ଷାବର୍ଷ ଶେଷକୁ 76 ପ୍ରତିଶତ ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ସୁଯୋଗ ମିଳିଥିବା ବେଳେ 2022-23ରେ ଏହା ବୃଦ୍ଧିପାଇ 80.52 ପ୍ରତିଶତକୁ ଛୁଇଁଥିଲା । 2023-24 ବେଳକୁ ଏହା ଆହୁରି ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇ 82.09 ପ୍ରତିଶତ ହୋଇ ପାରିଥିଲା । ତେବେ 2024-25 ବର୍ଷ ସରି ନ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ଏହା 70 ପ୍ରତିଶତ ଟପି ସାରିଲାଣି । ଆଗକୁ ଆହୁରି ବଳକା ସମୟ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ଏହା 90 ପ୍ରତିଶତ ଛୁଇଁବ ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷ ଆକଳନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ।

ବିଶେଷକରି ପରିଚାଳନା ବିଭାଗ ଶିକ୍ଷା (ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ଷ୍ଟଡି) ବିଷୟରେ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ କରୁଥିବା ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏହି ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଏବେ ସଫଳତାର ଚାବିକାଠି ପାଲଟିଛି । 2023-25 ବ୍ୟାଚ୍ ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନଙ୍କର ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଏଠାରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରାୟତ୍ତ ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ସମେତ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଉଦ୍ୟୋଗରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ସୁଯୋଗ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଏହାପଛରେ 2024 ମସିହାରେ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱରସ୍ଥିତ କିଟ୍ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରୁ ଆସି ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ବିଭାଗର ଡିନ୍ ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଭାର ସମ୍ଭାଳିଥିବା ପ୍ରଫେସର ବିପ୍ଳବ କୁମାର ବିଶ୍ୱାଳଙ୍କ ଅବଦାନ ଅନସ୍ୱୀକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ । ତାଙ୍କର ନେତୃତ୍ୱ ଶୈଳୀ ଏବଂ ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କ ସନ୍ଦେହ ମୋଚନ କରିବାର କଳା ଶିକ୍ଷାଦାନ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଅନନ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତିଭାକୁ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶିତ କରିଛି ।

ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ଶିକ୍ଷା ବିଭାଗ ପାଠ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରାଧ୍ୟାପକ-ପ୍ରାଧ୍ୟାପିକାମାନଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟବହାର ଖୁବ୍ ବନ୍ଧୁ ଭାବାପନ୍ନ । ଏଥିସହ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମନରେ ସନ୍ଦେହର କୌଣସି ବୀଜ ଅଙ୍କୁରିତ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ, ତାହାର ସକଳ ସମାଧାନ ନ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଧ୍ୟାପକ-ପ୍ରାଧ୍ୟାପିକାମାନେ ନିରଳସ ଭାବରେ ବାରମ୍ବାର ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ବିଷୟକୁ ବୁଝାଇଥା’ନ୍ତି । ଗୁରୁ୍ତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଥା ହେଉଛି ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ବିଭାଗରେ ରହିଛି ସହଜରେ ହୃଦବୋଧ ହେବାଭଳି ପାଠ୍ୟକ୍ରମ । ଫଳରେ ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ରୂପେ ବୁଝି ସେଥିରେ ପ୍ରବୀଣ ହେବାକୁ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ରହିଥାଏ ସୁଯୋଗ । ଏଥିସହ ପାଠ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଯେତେ ଯେତେ ଅଗ୍ରଗତି କରେ, ତାହା ସହିତ ତାଳଦେଇ ଗ୍ରୁପ୍ ଡିସକସନ୍, ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବିଷୟରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ, କେସ୍-ଆଧାରିତ ଶିକ୍ଷା, ଉତ୍ତମ ଆତିଥେୟତା ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ବିଷୟରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଏ ।

ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପରିଚାଳନା ବା ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ବିଭାଗରେ ରହିଛି ଏକ “ଷ୍ଟୁଡେଣ୍ଟ ପ୍ଲେସମେଣ୍ଟ କମିଟି”, ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଯାହାର ନାମ ଥିଲା “କର୍ପୋରେଟ୍ ରିଲେସନ କମିଟି ।“ ଏହି କମିଟିରେ ଥିବା 6 ଜଣ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ଫାକଲ୍ଟି ସଦସ୍ୟମାନେ ଏଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଉଥିବା ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତମ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ଉଦ୍ୟମ କରିଥା’ନ୍ତି । ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟାରେ ସମ୍ମୁଖୀନ ହେଉଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଆହ୍ୱାନକୁ ଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟର ସହ ସମ୍ମୁଖୀନ ହେବାକୁ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଦେଇଥା’ନ୍ତି । ପରିଣାମସ୍ୱରୁପ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବଡ଼ ବଡ଼ ତଥା ବହୁରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରୀୟ କମ୍ପାନୀରେ ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରୁ ଉତ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଉଥିବା ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ହାର ଅଧିକ ରହିଥାଏ ।

ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରୁ 2023-25 ବ୍ୟାଚରେ ଉତ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଥିବା ଛାତ୍ରୀ ଅମିତା ସାମନ୍ତସିଂହାର କହନ୍ତି, ସେ 2024 ମସିହା ଅକ୍ଟୋବର ମାସରେ ହିଁ ଏକ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରାୟତ୍ତ ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କରେ ଡେପୁଟି ମ୍ୟାନେଜର, ଗ୍ରେଡ୍-2 ପଦବୀରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ପାଇ ସାରିଛନ୍ତି । ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ପାଠ୍ୟକ୍ରମ 2025ରେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଉଥିଲେ ହେଁ, ଏହାର ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତାଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ରହିଥିଲା ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରାୟତ୍ତ ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କର ନିଯୁକ୍ତିପତ୍ର । ଏ ଅନୁଭବ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଖୁବ୍ ଆନନ୍ଦ ଦେଇଥିଲା ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି ଅମିତା । ବିଶେଷ କରି ଏଠାରେ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଉଥିବା ଶିକ୍ଷାଦାନ ସାଙ୍ଗକୁ କିଭଳି ପଢ଼ିବାକୁ ହେବ, ନୂଆ ନୂଆ ଆଇଡିଆକୁ କିଭଳି ରୂପ ଦିଆଯାଇ ପାରିବ, କିଭଳି ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ ଗ୍ରୁପ୍ ଡିସକସନ୍ କରାଯାଇ ପାରିବ, କିଭଳି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିତ୍ୱ ବିକାଶ କରିହେବ ଏ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ସବୁବେଳେ ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଆଯାଉଥିଲା । ଯାହା ତାଙ୍କ ନିଯୁକ୍ତିକୁ ଅଧିକ ସହଜ କରିଥିଲା ବୋଲି ମତ ରଖନ୍ତି ଅମିତା ।

ମ୍ୟାନେଜମେଣ୍ଟ ପାଠ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ପାଇଁ କାହିଁକି ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ହିଁ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଥମ ପସନ୍ଦ ପାଲଟିଲା, ଏହାର ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବାକୁ ଯାଇ ଅମିତା କହନ୍ତି, ପ୍ରଥମେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏଠାରେ ପଢ଼ିବେ କି ନାହିଁ, ସେ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ଦ୍ୱନ୍ଦ୍ୱରେ ଥିଲେ । ତାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବ ବ୍ୟାଚରେ ଏଠାରେ ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କ ସଂଖ୍ୟା ଥିଲା କମ୍ । ଏହା ତାଙ୍କୁ ଚିନ୍ତାଗ୍ରସ୍ତ କରିଥିଲା । ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କର ଏହି ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ୱାସର ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମି ଟିକିଏ ଦୋହଲି ଯାଇଥିଲା । ତେବେ କ୍ରମେ ସେ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ଏଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଥିବା ଓ ଏହାକୁ ଭଲଭାବରେ ଜାଣିଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସକାରାତ୍ମକ ମନ୍ତବ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବା ପରେ ଏହାକୁ ନେଇ କ୍ରମେ ତାଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆତ୍ମବିଶ୍ୱାସ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଲା । ଏହାପରେ ଇଣ୍ଟର୍ଣ୍ଣଶିପ୍ ଟିମ୍ ସହ ମିଶିବା ପରେ ତାଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥିବା ସନ୍ଦେହ ଦୂରୀଭୂତ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଏଥିସହ ପ୍ଲେସମେଣ୍ଟ କମିଟିର ନବକଳେବର (ରିଫର୍ମ୍) ହେବାପରେ ତାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟାଚ୍ ବିଦ୍ୟାର୍ଥୀମାନେ ଆଉ ପଛକୁ ଫେରି ଚାହିଁ ନ ଥିଲେ । ଆଜି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କେବଳ ଗୋଟିଏ ବାକ୍ୟ କୁହାଯାଇ ପାରିବ, “ସ୍କାଏ ଇଜ୍ ଦ ଲିମିଟ୍ ।” ଏକ ଘରୋଇ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପ୍ରତି ଏହାଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ସଫଳତା ଆଉ କ’ଣ ଥାଇପାରେ !
